§ Mr. Peter WalkerYes. The council's Regional Strategy is being published today, and a copy is available in the Library. This is a valuable contribution to regional planning and its broad shape and thinking is on the right lines.
After consideration of views that may be expressed upon it by the local authorities and the public in the region and after a departmental study of the Strategy, the Government will give their opinion as to the extent to which the detailed proposals in it may be acceptable as guidance to the local planning authorities in dealing with development and structure planning.
