Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will give, for the latest convenient stated date, the total amount of fines imposed by the courts; how much of such fines were still outstanding for payment at any given date; and how much of the outstanding amount was for fines where the fine period for payment had expired.

The amount of fines and fees outstanding in England and Wales outside Inner London, including amounts not yet due for payment, was £5,434,049 on 30th June. The other information asked for is not available.
