HC Deb 29 October 1970 vol 805 c185W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why it took from 7th and 9th October until 21st October for his Department formally to inform the hon. Member for West Ham, North that he had referred complaints to the Commissioner of Police; and whether he will ensure that such information is communicated more quickly.

Mr. Sharples

Both letters were acknowledged on receipt. Every effort is made to answer letters from hon. Members as soon as possible.
