asked the Minister of State for Defence whether he is reviewing the arrangements for handling the sale of British defence equipment through Ministry of Defence (Sales); and if he will make a statement.

In August we reorganised the Ministry of Defence element of the sales organisation on to a geographical basis instead of a Service basis. Defence sales activities will be included in the review of the Defence Procurement Organisation referred to in paragraph 27 of the White Paper on The Reorganisation of Central Government (Cmnd. 4506).
