HC Deb 29 October 1970 vol 805 cc193-4W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, in view of the fact that since his last consideration of the request for an investigation into matters connected with the Dollar Land Holdings Limited, there have been no balance sheets and financial statements issued by the company according to the Companies Act, and that for a continuing period the company had no directors and no meetings were lawfully held, he will now agree to an investigation into all matters affecting the affairs of this company.

Mr. Ridley

I do not at present think that inspectors should be appointed. The directors of the company have assured the Department that they will do everything possible to present accounts for 1968 at a general meeting in December.
