HC Deb 29 October 1970 vol 805 cc172-3W
79. Mr. Bidwell

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is his policy regarding varying the present internal controls over the movement of Commonwealth citizens working in this country.

Mr. Maudling

As explained during the debate on the Address on 3rd July, it is the Government's intention to secure that Commonwealth citizens admitted for employment come for a particular job in a particular place and that their stay may be extended only if they remain in approved employment.
