Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT those diseases which may be communicable to humans from imported simians.

Diseases so far known to be so communicable are B. Virus infection, dysentery, infectious hepatitis, tuberculosis, rabies, Marburg virus disease, and various protozoal and helminthic diseases.
