§ Mr. Leadbitterasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what proposals he has for loans, grants and industrial development certificates policy for industrial development in the Northern Region; what changes have been made in these policies since 18th June; and to what extent the total aid differs from that which existed before June, 1970.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantI would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer yesterday about the Government's proposals for investment incentives. I can assure him that industrial development certificates will continue to be freely available in the Northern Region.
