Mr. Douglas

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish the average rate of interest on local authority borrowing in Scotland, the range of interest rates and the maximum rate at which local authorities had to borrow in 1969–70.

Information on local authorities' longer-term interest rates and Public Works Loan Board lending rates is published quarterly by the Central Statistical Office in "Financial Statistics".
