HC Deb 28 October 1970 vol 805 c117W
7. Mr. Leadbitter

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many deaths on the roads in the United Kingdom were caused by jack-knifing of articulated vehicles; and what proportion this was of the total in the years 1968 and 1969.

Mr. Peyton

The information is not available in exactly the form requested.

In Great Britain in 1969, the only full year for which figures are available, 44 articulated vehicles jack-knifed in fatal accidents, which was less than ½ per cent. of all fatal accident involvements.
