HC Deb 27 October 1970 vol 805 c71W
84. Mr. John Wells

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his Department's consultations with the British Waterways Board relative to the use of the Board's waterways in the light of the Water Resources Bill.

Mr. Eldon Griffiths

The consultations are proceeding satisfactorily and I hope that an equitable arrangement will be reached whereby the British Waterways Board may receive contributions for any water conservation schemes in which they are involved.
