§ 79. Mr. Willeyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action he has taken pursuant 64W to the recommendation of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation Conference of Ministers of European Member States responsible for Government Policy to include in the list of national targets for research a certain number of subjects dealing with problems which have priority importance for the developing countries.
§ Mr. WoodThe Final Report on the Conference, which was held in Paris from 22nd to 27th June, was published on 9th October. The recommendations are now being considered at U.N.E.S.C.O.'s 16th General Conference. Her Majesty's Government will continue to play their part in providing aid moneys to support the development of science and technology in the developing countries.
