HC Deb 27 October 1970 vol 805 cc66-7W
Mr. Clinton Davis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement concerning the official meeting he had with the South African Foreign Minister, Dr. Hilgard Muller, in New York on 26th September, 1970.

Sir Alec Douglas-Home

The details of the discussion are confidential, but I told Dr. Muller that no decision on the supply of arms to South Africa would be taken until consultations with Commonwealth Governments had been completed.
