HC Deb 27 October 1970 vol 805 c51W
Mr. S. C. Silkin

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he has taken to avoid the delays referred to in paragraphs 39–43, Life Sentence Cases, of the Report of the Parole Board for 1969.

Mr. Carlisle

There has already been some improvement in the time taken in dealing with life sentence cases and the procedure is being further reviewed in the light of a Departmental Organisation and Methods study.
