Mrs. Doris Fisher

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what factors were considered in dealing with the application for a work permit by the son of Ian Smith, Prime Minister of Rhodesia; whether he is satisfied that the normal procedure usually applied was followed; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Smith's case was dealt with like any other application made by a foreign national in similar circumstances.
