HC Deb 30 November 1970 vol 807 c248W
41. Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on Anglo-South African trade.

Mr. John Davies

Our trade with South Africa is valuable to both partners and we intend to encourage it. My hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Trade is in South Africa for that purpose at this very moment. In the first 10 months of this year our exports to South Africa were £269 million. Imports were £221 million.
