HC Deb 30 November 1970 vol 807 cc311-2W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will state the last time he visited the London Borough of Newham in his official capacity; when he expects to pay his next visit; and on that occasion whether he will seek an opportunity of discussing with the local council representatives Government assistance for the financial and other problems concerning trade, industry and housing in the borough.

The Prime Minister

I have not paid an official visit to the London Borough of Newham since becoming Prime Minister, and have at present no plans to do so. As to the last part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which he received from my right hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Construction on 25th November.—[Vol. 807, c. 138.]
