asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what progress has been made in extending the European Free Trade Association's rules of competition.

Mr. Noble

The E.F.T.A. rules of competition are contained in the Stockholm Convention. They were individually reviewed between 1965 and 1968. More recently a study has been made of the rules as a whole; this is now under consideration in the E.F.T.A. Council.

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many submissions in the past 12 months by the United Kingdom have been made under the complaints procedure of Article 31 of the European Free Trade Association Convention.
