Mr. Curran

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many men and women over the age of 80 years living in the Uxbridge constituency have been granted pensions under the recent Act.

Mr. Dean

Up to and including 25th November, 124 pensions had been awarded under Section 1 of the National Insurance (Old Persons' and Widows' Pensions and Attendance Allowance) Act, 1970 to persons in the area covered by our Uxbridge local office.

Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons in the Willesden area over 80 years of age have been granted a pension under the recent Act.

Up to and including 25th November, 523 pensions had been awarded under Section 1 of the National Insurance (Old Persons' and Widows' Pensions and Attendance Allowance) Act, 1970 to persons in the Willesden area, divided as follows between the two local offices which cover that area:
