HC Deb 26 November 1970 vol 807 cc211-2W
76. Mr. Onslow

asked the Minister of Aviation Supply whether he has yet obtained, through the Treasury Solicitor's Department, the expert opinion necessary for a decision on what action should be taken to recover from the New Basingstoke Canal Company the cost of damage at Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, caused by the breach in the canal bank in September, 1968, and the cost of the emergency repairs to the canal carried out by his Department.

Mr. David Price

The Treasury Solicitor has received the report of the consulting engineers who were asked to advise on some aspects of our claim. The report is now with counsel for advice on the chances of undertaking successful litigation.
