40. Earl of Dalkeithasked the Minister of State for Defence when he expects ships of the Royal Navy to be fitted with surface-to-surface missiles comparable to those fitted in ships of foreign navies.
§ Mr. KirkExocet, which is comparable with horizon range surface-to-surface guided weapon systems in service with other navies, will be fitted in ships of the Royal Navy during the 1970s. There are no present plans to introduce a naval surface-to-surface missile of greater range.
