62. Mr. W. T. Williamsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will introduce legislation to remove the protection given to statutory authorities by law in respect of nuisance, and under the Clean Air Act.
§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsApart from certain limited provisions in the Clean Air Act, the only such protection is the exemption of statutory undertakers from proceedings under the Noise Abatement Act, 1960. The Noise Abatement Council is now reviewing this Act, and we shall be considering its recommendations in due course.
