HC Deb 25 November 1970 vol 807 c132W
13. Mr. Selwyn Gummer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will take steps to extend to the rest of England and Wales the protection afforded to the owners of property in London by the London Building Act, 1930 in respect of the reinstatement and weatherproofing of party walls exposed by demolition of neighbouring properties.

Mr. Channon

I understand that the Law Commission is considering a proposal that provisions similar to those in the London Building Acts on party walls should apply to the rest of England and Wales.
