§ Mr. ChannonIt has been the practice to give block loan sanctions to the council for this purpose, on general conditions as to valuation and the life of property acquired for conversion and improvement.
135WUnder new arrangements recently announced, local authorities will from 1st April no longer have to seek loan approval for the purchase of existing houses or for advances to housing associations for the same purpose.
