Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Minister of State for Defence which Ministers have used aircraft of the Queen's Flight since 18th June; on how many occasions; and what was the total cost to public funds.

During the period from 19th June to 17th November, 1970, on the basis of single journeys, flights were arranged for the Prime Minister on eight occasions; for the Home Secretary on four; for the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary on one; for the Secretary of State for Defence on eleven; for the Secretary of State for Scotland on one; for the Minister of State, Ministry of Defence, on nine; for the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence for the Army on eight; and for the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence for the Royal Air Force on eleven. The cost of these flights was £8,106, of which £5,548 was incurred by Defence Ministers.
