§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe target acreage for potatoes is set after appropriate consultations at a level at which home production of maincrop potatoes should meet home requirements in full except in years of unusually low yields. It has been the practice to allow a safety margin of some 200,000 tons, assuming normal yields.
