asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) when he proposes to introduce a levy system for imports of pigs and pig meat; and whether he will make a statement;

(2) if he will discuss with Denmark the application of a levy system to Danish bacon imported into Great Britain; and whether he will make a statement.

The Government's present proposals for the extension of the import levy system do not include imports of pigs and pigmeat.
