§ Mr. Patrick JenkinThe maximum daily allowance against which the Peers may recover the actual amount of their expenses incurred in attending sittings of the House was increased from 4½ guineas to £6 10s. as from 1st January, 1970, pursuant to a resolution moved on 18th December, 1969, by the noble Lord, Lord Beswick.
