§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsPursuant to my right hon. Friend's powers under Section 2 of the Clean Air Act, 1968, he intends shortly to lay regulations prescribing limits to the rates of emission of grit and dust from the chimneys of furnaces. Further, he is awaiting the inspector's report on a public inquiry into a proposed Order scheduling under the Alkali Act processes in primary aluminium works, acrylates works, di-isocyanates works, mineral processing and certain processes in the petroleum industry.
