asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) whether, in introducing admission fees for art galleries and museums, Her Majesty's Government will exempt art students from such charges;

(2) whether, in introducing admission fees for mueums and art galleries, Her Majesty's Government will exempt bona fide research workers from such payments.

70. Mr. Kenneth Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she intends to allow a reduced rate for full-time students for admission charges to museums and galleries.

Mr. van Straubenzee

The detailed arrangements for admission charges are being discussed with the institutions concerned. The question of remission or reduction of charges for students and research workers will be amongst those examined.
