§ 89. Miss Quennellasked the Minister of Aviation Supply what new skills, techniques or technologies have been perfected in producing the Anglo-French Concorde aircraft; and what application he estimates that these will have in other industries.
§ Mr. CorfieldConcorde has led to the development of techniques and skills in a number of areas, notably in the development of special materials, in the use of machine tools and miniaturised electronic equipment and in improving the reliability of aircraft equipment and systems generally. I have no doubt that many firms will put their Concorde experience to good use in other fields.
