§ Mr. Bradleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what estimate he has made of the effect of the forthcoming trade legislation in the United States of America on low-cost imports of hosiery and knitwear goods into this country.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantIt is not possible to estimate the effect upon our imports of new restrictions which the U.S.A. may place on imports of textile products. I am, however, aware that any new import restrictions in the U.S.A. may result in additional supplies being offered to the British market.
