Friend has taken note of the Conference's belief in the necessity for improved communications linking West Cumberland with the M6 and the welcome which the resolution gives to the steps which the Department is taking to this end. His studies of alternate routes include consideration of the possible environmental508W problems brought to his attention by the resolution and by other local interests.
