§ 82. Mr. Eadieasked the Minister for Overseas Development what representations he has received from Christian churches on the decision to amalgamate the Ministry of Overseas Development with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; and what reply he has sent.
§ Mr. WoodSince the decision was announced I have received two letters from Churches and I have discussed it with a delegation from the Churches' 477W Action for World Development. I have emphasised that the decision implies no weakening of the Government's intention to pursue an expanding aid programme, and expressed my confidence in the new arrangements.
