HC Deb 18 November 1970 vol 806 c441W
Mr. Armstrong

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has for expanding the Urban Aid Programme in the Northern Region.

Mr. Sharples

The Urban Programme in its present form provides for expenditure in Great Britain amounting to £20–£25 million in the period of four years ending in April, 1972, and up to £40 million during the succeeding four years. Local authorities in the Northern Region will share in this in proportion to their special social need.
