§ 50. Mr. Biffenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he has been having with the County Councils Association in the light of problems arising from the development of premises for intensive animal husbandry permitted by Class VI (i) of the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1963; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Graham PageI would refer to the reply given to the hon. Member for Newark (Mr. Bishop) on 30th October. It would not be appropriate to say anything at this juncture on proposals made by one of the bodies invited to comment. I do, however, appreciate my hon. Friend's concern and I assure him that the review of the General Development Order is proceeding as expeditiously as possible.
