HC Deb 17 November 1970 vol 806 c358W
33. Miss Lestor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is aware of the problems for pensioners and those living alone, caused by the growing numbers of foods sold in pre-packed quantities too large for them; and what steps he will take to remedy the situation.

Mr. Anthony Stodart

There is a problem but very small packs cost proportionately more than larger ones. The food trade must assess whether there would be a demand at the price.
