HC Deb 17 November 1970 vol 806 c367W
Mr. Harold Walker

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many Departments have changed their letter-heads to blue since the Government took office; how much letter-paper was wasted as a consequence; and what was the cost.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

It is customary for Ministers to have a choice of letter-heads and alterations frequently follow Ministerial changes. Since the present Government took office there has been a change to blue in two Departments. 32,000 sheets of letterpaper costing £124 will now be used for other purposes so that wastage will be minimised.
