§ 63. Mrs. Hartasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the latest stage of international discussions about the implementation of the Jackson Report on the organisation of the United Nations specialised agencies.
§ Mr. WoodThe Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme reached agreement in June on many matters covered by the Jackson Capacity Study. This was later endorsed by the Economic and Social Council and will soon be considered by the General Assembly. The Governing Council will discuss other important topics. The extent of international agreement on pressing ahead with the major recommendations is encouraging.
