§ 98. Sir G. Nabarroasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, having regard to further decline in output in the motor-car industry, notably in Midlands factories during the first eight months of 1970, what steps he now proposes to take to restore full production.
§ Mr. RidleyThe decline in output is due to problems that are the responsibility of both sides of industry. The Government's measures providing a legal framework for industrial relations should, in the longer term, help to reduce dislocation of production in all industries.
