110. Mr. Barnett

asked the Minister of Aviation Supply if he has now authorised further expenditure on the development of Concorde beyond that already notified to the House; and if he will make a statement.

111. Mr. Sheldon

asked the Minister of Aviation Supply if he will make a statement on his discussions with M. Mondon concerning the Concorde project.

Mr. Corfield

The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and I met M. Mondon in Paris on 20th October to examine the progress of the Concorde programme. We examined the technical, financial, and commercial aspects of the situation and noted with pleasure the very satisfactory progress of the test flights. A further meeting is envisaged for next December.
