asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the current unemployment rate for the Northern Region as a percentage in comparison with the West Midlands and the South-East.

At 12th October, 1970, the percentage rates of unemployment for the Northern, West Midlands and South-East regions were 4.6, 2.4 and 1.6 respectively.
