§ Mr. John DaviesYes. I received the Commission's report on 28th October.248W Its unanimous conclusion was that this merger might be expected to operate against the public interest. The Commission was unable to recommend any action which would remedy or prevent the detriments which might result if the merger were to be permitted. I accept this conclusion and I am asking British Sidac Ltd. for an assurance that it will not now proceed with its formal bid for Transparent Paper Ltd.
