Mr. Gregor Mackenzie

asked the Minister of State for Defence if he has completed his study of the Estimates Committee report on recruitment for the armed forces; and if he will make a statement.

Sub-Committee "C" of the Estimates Committee carried out an investigation during Session 1969–70, but no report was produced. I have however discussed the matter with the Chairman of the Sub-Committee, and am pursuing the points he raised.
