§ Mr. Boydenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to provide a new bridge across the Tees at Barnard Castle to replace the existing one which is dangerous and inadequate for present-day traffic.
§ Mr. Graham PageThis is a matter for the Durham and North Riding County Councils who are the highway authorities jointly responsible. If they submit proposals for a new bridge it will be considered for a place in the principal roads preparation list.
