§ Mr. Laurance Reedasked the Minister of State for Defence approximately how many wrecks there are on the seabed of the North Sea; and how many of these are accurately marked on Admiralty charts.
§ Mr. KirkAvailable records indicate that there are approximately 7,000 wrecks in the North Sea. Of these over 4,000 are marked on Admiralty charts. The majority are accurately marked but for some only a "position approximate" is recorded.
