HL Deb 10 November 1970 vol 312 cc729-30WA
LORD GARDINER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When the Stationery Office are going to publish supplements containing amendments to their Rules of the Supreme Court before the amendments come into force instead of months after they come into force.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

Arrangements have already been made to speed up the publication of supplements to the looseleaf edition of theRules of the Supreme Court, but in view of the work involved, and the short interval which sometimes occurs between the making and coming into force of amending Rules, it is impossible to guarantee that the supplements will always be published before the amendments to which they relate come into operation.

House adjourned at nineteen minutes before ten o'clock.
