§ Mr. Skinnerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the rate support grant negotiations with the local authorities will include the possibility of offsetting the whole burden of increased postal charges.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe increase in postal charges is one of the items to be taken into account in the curent rate support grant negotiations. Government assistance towards expenditure which is accepted for grant will be at the appropriate percentage to be settled as a result of these negotiations.
