Mr. Bob Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Chief Constable of Northumberland as to his proposals for increasing the number of foot patrols in the area of Newcastle, West and Newburn.
§ Mr. SharplesMy right hon. Friend is informed that the Chief Constable has no proposals to increase the number of foot patrols at the present time but that these deployments are kept under constant review.
