The number of justices of the peace, Metropolitan stipendiary magistrates and other stipendiary magistrates now on the active list.

The number of magistrates on the active list in England and Wales on the 2nd November were:

Metropolitan Stipendiary Magistrates—37 (including the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate).

Stipendiary magistrates outside London—11.

Justices of the peace other than stipendiary magistrates—19,250.
